here are my favorites i have heard
from my dear mother-in-law
Doctors dont know what they are doing, if they say you can you
wont, if they say you cant you will!!! also from her
Maybe your one of "those people" who shouldnt have children,
followed by " this is gods way of telling you" ( we will not talk about
the tears that followed that )
From brother:
Mom had no problem having us, and i have a son, i dont see
whats stoping you !!!
From 17 year old pgt sister:
i dont know what to tell you , we dtd and everything worked
out for us ok, also from her , keep in mind shes 17
at least you still can wear a bathing suit, and you dont have
to worry about the whole giving birth thing!!!!
and from friends:
" everything happens for a reason" or dosent
" come over my house for a day and watch my beautiful new
born son, and you will change your mind real quick!
" well i dont think you should have kids anyway"
and my all time favorite " how to get pgt tip " is
" spend a week away from home ,and dh , eat only rice and
beans and drink only water , then go home and dtd for a whole month
straight and you will get pgt !!! ( i am sorry but that was really
told to me by a 79 year old woman who said it was a long lost secret!!!!)

A friend of mine (although good hearted)
told me that all her sisters got pg
when they did the deed on the floor,
and if we did, we'd be pregnant in no time.
AHA! The secret exposed!
Course, at this stage,
Im willing to try just about anything! LOL!

Go on a vacation and you will get pg.
when you are not thinking about it.
Don't worry about it and you will get pg.
You know that when so and so adopted
they found out they were pg. that same month.
and on and on....

Told to me by a gentleman who looked just like my grandfather:
"Hon, you need to douche with raspberry juice.
Tones up the 'parts'.
My wife always used raspberry juice douches
and that's how we conceived four children."
The mind boggles.

she also had the gall to say to me and dh...
"there must be something wrong with you because the rest of
the family has had no problems"
This one is from my dad's crazy girlfriend;
"Stop taking Clomid and you will get pg,
it happened to my sister"
and she always ask me everytime I see her;
"Are you pregnant yet" I just want to
choke her when she asks me that!!!!

Read TCOYF, find out when you're ovulating,
stress over temps, and you'll get pregnant in no time!
This is the biggest misconception of all...
if you're not becoming pregnant on your own,
get to a doctor.
Don't self treat or think one book makes you an expert!

Here are some doosies:
1. Just go out for margaritas one night
2. You don't have any problems, you already have a child
My all time favorite comes from a friend of mine who is 6 months pg
3. I know someone who had a baby with birth defects...
my baby could have birth defects...do you want that?
Consider yourself lucky!

People say that if you were on infertility pills
the first time and got pregnant,
then your body will know what
to do the second time around!
That is not true!!!!

My sister in law told me to "relax",
that's the usual we all hear,
but then said "get a dog -
you need a dog in the meantime".
I don't think that's quite
the answer to our infertility.

My neighbor (friend, cousin,etc)
adopted a baby, and they got pg
on their own after that!
It was because she finally relaxed."

1.You can't fall pregnant the first time you have sex.
2. Relax and it will happen, just don't think about it!
3. My doctor told me to relax and have a glass of wine,
I said "is this your medical opinion?" and he said "yes".

Your list is blank!
That can't be...
I couldn't resist sending a few myself:
1. If you just relax, you'll conceive. Forget about it and it will happen.
2. You can get pg from toilet seats or pool water.
3. Women over 40 can't get pg.
4. Women under 30 will have no trouble getting pg.
5. The first time you bd after going off the pill, you'll conceive.
6. If you don't conceive right away, there must be something wrong with you.
7. Infertility problems are generally the woman's fault.
8. If it's been over a year, all you have to do is take clomid and you'll conceive.
9. If you've already had a child, you should have no problem conceiving again.
10. You won't feel so bad about not being able to conceive again if you've already had a child.
11. You shouldn't feel so bad about a m/c because it just means there was something "wrong" with the baby, and it's for the best that the m/c happened.
12. You did something "wrong" and that's why you had a m/c.
13. Only teenagers and women who don't care about their children conceive without difficulty.
14. All DH has to do is wear boxers and stop riding his bicycle or stop taking hot baths and you'll conceive.
15. If you bd like crazy in the middle of the month you'll conceive no problem.

I've been told these things and I just have to say to myself.
"Some people are just ignorant" :
1. Just relax and you will get pregnant
2. Count 14 days from AF,then have sex and you will get pregnant.

Well, I know a bunch of them, but here are two:
The big one:
You are most fertile when your temps spike (my mother was told this one when she was trying to have a baby!! OOPS!)
If the spermies all fall out
right after sex you won't be able to get pregnant. I learned that one in Catholic school from a good friend of mine right after she became sexually active with her boyfriend. Two months later they were married because of the new addition they created!!

Everyone ovulates on day 14.
Not me, it took me 3 cycles to figure out it was day 20!

2. DTD on day 13,14 and 15.
That will do the trick since ALL women O on day 14, right? hmmm, not very creative today.

According my doctor -
"White cm is unusual and typically a sign of infection"
BAH, this doctor should read TCOYF!

My mother told me that a girl could get pg from kissing a boy
if they are both wearing wet bathing suits!
It was the one thing, during the 19 months of ttc,
that dh and I didn't try-
next time instead of IUI we will try that!
