Clomid Success Album #2 ~ ~ ~ Latest Clomid Success Album

    April 21, 2007
Thinking of all you ladies out there ttc. After four years of ttc we conceived our beautiful daughter Lilly - Mae who is now two, on a second month of clomid. We are now desperately trying for number 2 - on second round of clomid but so far no luck. My cycles are anything between 8 and 14 week so the waiting each cycle is unbearable. We are just grateful for a little miracle.

    Clomid success story
    Wow...I can't believe I'm writing a success story!!!!
I started on Clomid 50mg 2 cycles ago. My OB/GYN didn't do any blood work during the first cycle. The next cycle, he ordered a day 21 Progesterone level test. They informed me that if my progesterone was over 10, they would follow up with a pregnancy test. If my progesterone was under 5, it meant that I didn't ovulate that cycle and we would up the dose. Well, my count came back at 1.2. We were crushed. I am 27...my hubby is 29. All we could think is .....why can't we have children? So I waited for my period. The doctor told me I may not get a period this month since I didn't ovulate. I was about to take Provera to induce my period (which was about 5 days late) when the doctor a very pale positive line. I called the doctor the next day and he ordered a blood pregnancy test...it confirmed it!! We did it!
    Good Luck to all!!!!

    Hi Momma Kath,
I just took 3 tests and they all said positive. I was on clomid for 3 months with a final dosage of 150mg. I fortunately had only a couple of minor side effects - tender breasts and a little moody. I also took your herbs for getting your uterus in balance and gave my husband some herbs for him has well. I just went to my doctor to confirm with a blood test and will get the result soon.
Thank you so much for all your advice. You website really helps a lot of people.

    It's a success story!!!!
I've been on clomid for 6 cycles ttc #2,
this was my last cycle on 100 mg before going to the
Fertility Center for the next step.
I ordered the Herb for Her No. 2 w/ CM Enhancer .
I started right away also drinking Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
at least 3 times a day and taking 1 baby aspirin a day.
Also I tried to eat lots of baby carrots around ovulation.
I had great cm this time from cd13-18,
my temp went up on cd19.
I waited till 10dpo (Friday) to test and was very surprised
to see a faint line that developed a bit more over 15 minutes.
Saturday I tested again and it was a bit darker
then I tested again today and it was a bit darker.
My doctor had me get a blood test on Friday for hcg and progesterone.
Today they gave me the results - at 10dpo my hcg was 60
    and my progesterone was 72.
    Yeah!!
They will take blood tests again in two weeks
and then confirm with an ultrasound!

DD (almost 2) was also conceived on 100mg of Clomid,
at that time they found out that only one of my tubes is functioning -
so everything came together at the right time!
I called today to cancel my RE appt. which was
    scheduled for this Wednesday!
Oh, and I'm 37 and will be 38 in September.

Thank you so much Momma Kath
    for your regime and
    the positive, eggly thoughts + + +

I would like to share my story with you all. I am 25 and DH is 27.
We have been married 6 years. DH didn't want kids right away
so we waited a few years and then I got baby fever. I wanted a baby~!
So, I started talking about it and he was very serious about not wanting one.
Finally after many discussions and tears he said ok.
I am not sure if he was really ready but he knew how much I wanted this.
I went off BC pills and 6mos, no pg 10 mos no pg.... 12 mos no pg.
I was so upset. How could all my friends get pg so easily.
I went to a specialist in Infertility and had a complete workup done.
The doc decided to put me on clomid after all the tests came back
not really showing anything. I took 50 mg first round 100 second and 100 third.
The 3rd round was our last before IUI. The last two months my prog. levels
on day 24 were 12, and 13, the third month 29.2!!
I hoped and prayed this meant I was pg. On day 30 which was
15dpo I decided to take a test, what the heck,
never imagining it would be positive.

I feel so blessed and thankful to God for this miracle.
I prayed so long for this and was really beginning
to think I may never be able to have children of my own.
I am just overwhelmed with happiness.
I sometimes think maybe God delayed things
so my husband could truly want a child.
If I had conceived right away maybe he wouldn't have been
completely happy like me. God works in mysterious ways!!!!
    My EDD is 2/04/02!!
I hope this story inspires you, like all your stories
have helped me thru the hard times.

    Clomid Success Story!

My name is Jessica, I am 27 years old and DH is 28. I was on birth control pills for 8 years, went off of them 9/00 got pregnant in November of 2000 and then had a miscarriage in 12/00 at 5w3d due to a Blighted Ovum. Dh and I had been ttc since then and in April discovered that my progesterone was very low, 5.5. My dr suggested Clomid and I did a lot of research and we decided to give it a try. I was prescribed 50mg of Clomid on days 3-7. On cycle day 14 I went in for an ultra sound and had several follicles, but only one "mature" follicle measuring 24 mm in size. They gave me an HCG shot to induce ovulation and then time intercourse accordingly. On July 24th I realized that my period was 4 days late, I took an EPT and it was POSITIVE, I could not believe my eyes! I had a blood test to confirm my pregnancy and learned that my progesterone was at 29.30!!!!!

Clomid worked for us and not only did it work but it worked the very first round!!!!

I am now 16 1/2 weeks pregnant and VERY thankful that we gave clomid a try!

    We ttc for 16+ months.
We got pg on our 2nd round of 50 mg. clomid.
    I am due 5-7-02.
    Thanks!
    Shannon

    Hi Ladies
Glucophage a/k/a (also known as) Metformin
is a new medication used in disorders relating to
    blood sugar (a/k/a glucose).

Diabetes is a disorder characterized by high blood sugar.
Insulin is the hormone that regulates the blood sugar or glucose level.
Insulin allows the body to use glucose for energy/storage.
Without insulin, the glucose level builds up in the blood
and the kidneys filter and expel it into urine.

Diabetes Type I individuals require insulin injections.
Symptoms of Diabetes I: Excessive urination, great thirst,
hunger, vomitting, loss of weight and strength.

Diabetes Type II is referred to as Adult Onset Diabetes
and in many cases can be controlled by diet and exercise.

    Okay, so if:
Glucose provides energy for the body's cells but
insulin must be present for the body to use glucose.
Without insulin, glucose has difficulty entering the cells.

    To function properly,
nerve cells require a continuous supply of glucose.
Most importantly when Trying To Conceive,
the nerves carry signals that trigger hormone activity.
Thus, it would seem to be very important to keep
a consistent supply of insulin and glucose available for the nerve cells
to function properly and maintain hormone balance.

    Other things to consider:
Recurrent yeast infections may result from high blood sugar
because the microorganism that causes a yeast infection
flourishes in the presence of glucose.

Women with PCOS are very resistant to insulin.

Some women require more insulin during the luteal phase
the thought is that higher levels of progesterone
    increase the resistance to insulin
    (which might explain gestational diabetes).

    Love
    Momma Kath

My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 15 months, and had an RE appointment lined up for a few weeks later. The lucky month involved 100 mg of Clomid and an HCG shot. Even though I wasn't supposed to, I did pregnancy tests starting at 10dpo. The nurse had told me not to test until 15dpo because the HCG shot could still be in my system and could cause a fale positive. The pregnancy tests all came up positive. On 14dpo I did not tell my husband, but went in for a blood test. The doctor said that the HCG shot should be out of my system and that I am indeed pregnant. I was so excited and told my husband that night. I am now 6.5 weeks pregnant and go for my first ultrasound in 2 days.

My pregnancy symptoms -- early on --a lot of heartburn; the smell of cigarette smoke made me gag; tired ; now-- fatigue, urinating a lot, and somewhat sore breasts

For anyone who thinks it cannot happen to them, don't give up - it can!

    I am 24,and 5 weeks pg. with #1. Here's my story.
My mother, my two older sisters and I all have irregular cycles which
obviously make it difficult to conceive. My mother took fertility drugs in the
60's to have each of my sisters and I was a surprise! My two sisters were
both off The Pill 2 yrs. One finally got pg without drugs the other got pg
after 3 cycles of Clomid. So I knew I'd need help conceiving. My doctor said
    I only O'd about 1-2 times a year!! I went 3 months without a period,
took Provera and 50mg Clomid and my cd21 progesterone was .5! Nonexistent! :(

    Took Provera again!
Clomid again, this time at 100mg and my cd22
    progesterone was a whopping 42.9!
    I got a faint + with a hpt on cd 28,
the nurse told me to take another in a few days.
I didn't know how long my cycles were since I
am never regular! Retested on cd30 and got a dark +!
Thank GOD! We're doing an early ultrasound at 6 weeks
to see if there might be twins!
I'm almost 5 wks now. We want 2 children,
so we would love to have twins and
have our instant family but as long as it/they
    is/are healthy we're pleased!
Thanks Momma Kath for responding so quickly
    to my question.
Your website has helped me through this so much!
You've done so much research and
    made it easily accessible!

My husband and i have been married 6 years
and 3 and a half years ago i had a miscarraige at 8 weeks
and a year before that at 6 weeks.

My doctor finally said it is time to go on clomid after
3 and a half yearsof trying .So i was on it for 4 months
and walah i'm now 8 weeks pregnant and keeping my fingers crossed
that this is the blessing i've been waiting for.
    Sincerely,

    Jen from pa.

My husband and I tried to have a baby for over a year w/out success.
    I started taking 50mg of clomid for 3 cycles no luck;
upped the dosage to 100mg and we got pregnant
our little boy will be 2 next week.
I started taking 100mg this year and after the 6th cycle
we are pregnant again and couldn't be happier.
My best advice is to be patient and
let it happen too much stress and fretting over not getting pregnant
the first time will prolong the agony.
Trust in God and it will happen -
it did for me twice now.

    Barbara

PS I was 35 when I had #1 and am 37 now with #2 - so age is irrelevant

I am 24 yrs old and I began using Clomid in December of 2002.
My husband and I had been trying to conceive since May of 2001.
I got off the pill in March and had a period until July.
From July until September I was not having periods so
I went to the doctor after taking a pregnancy test
and having blood work done to make sure that I was not preg.
The doctor said that he would just begin giving me
a medicine that would induce my periods until they began regularly.
We did that until November of 2002 and we still had not gotten pregnant
and I still was not having my periods on my own.
(We spent lots of money on Preg Tests.
Anyway, in December we went back to the doctor
and had blood work done to see if I was Ovulating. The normal level of ovulation is between 12-40
(I'm not sure what those numbers represent?!)
I was not ovulating at all.
SO, they gave me the lowest dose of Clomid in
December which was 50mg (taken days 5-9 of cycle).
I went to the doctor on Day 21 of my cycle and had
blood work done to determine my level of O.
My level of O increased to 0.9 in December 2002.
They then increased my dosage (days 5-9 of Cycle) to 100mg.
Day 21of January 2003, my O level was up to 2.4.
Better but still not good enough.
SO, they increased my dosage to 150mg (days 5-9 of Cycle)
and I went back on day 21 of February 2003.
This time my level was 16.9.
FINALLY HIGH ENOUGH FOR REAL OVULATION.......and GUESS WHAT>>>>>
I am now 6 weeks pregnant.
We got pregnant on the first try with Clomid
when my ovulation level was high enough.
I love Clomid and I hope that it works for you
as well as it has for my husband and I!!!
Happy baby making and keep my husband,
baby and I in your prayers.
    You are definately in ours!!

I've had two (2) miscarriages and my doctor suggested that
I try Clomid (being that my problem was hormone related
and not infertility related)....well after just one five (5) day
dose of Clomid (50mg) I am now pregnant and things are
looking good thus far. My only side effect were hot flashes,
    they were tolerable.
I wish all of you who are experiencing
what my husband and I have experienced the best of luck!
Just have faith and don't give up....
    things will work out.

I am just now writing my success story
as it has taken this long for reality to set in for me.
From the time I was 12 and I started to menstruate,
I knew something wasn't quite right with my body.
    It took eleven years before
I finally learned that I had PCOS.
Until then, I never imagined it
would be so difficult for me to concieve.
I started to do some research and learned a lot
from reading how others on this site
have coped with the same feelings, etc.
I visited a doctor in our area who prescribed Clomid.
I started out at 50 mg,
which worked the first time, but not the second.
She then bumped me up to the 100 mg dose,
    which seemed to work effectively.
I charted my temperatures and took the pills faithfully
at the same time each day without success.
I would look forward to seeing that temperature spike
and counting the days to AF,
but each month I grew more and more disappointed.
My husband and I made it through
6 cycles with nothing but disappointment.
On the 7th cycle, just as I was contemplating "giving up",
I made an appointment to see
a reproductive specialist in September of 2002.
Three days after my appointment with him, my husband and
I learned we were pregnant with our very first child.
There would be no need for a follow-up to his office.
The only thing I did different in cycle 7
    is that I took Robitussin
and I can't say if this is what did trick or not.
To this day, I think this was a sign from God telling us to never give up and
never underestimate what we think may be impossible.
Now I am 34 weeks pregnant
and am getting excited for the baby's arrival in May.
It is supposed to be a boy,
but either or would be a total blessing in my eyes.
Please let our story help you through your tough times
and know that miracles do happen -
maybe not on your terms or when you had planned -
but they can and do happen.
Let that be your inspiration to continue on your quest to have a baby.
Thank you for letting me share my story with you.
My thoughts are prayers are with you all.
    -Tina

As long as I can remember I have always had irregular periods.
I got married october/19/02. We decided that we would try to have kids in Febuary.
I went to my gyno and since I was not ovulating at all, she put me on provera and clomid 50 mg.
The first two months, it didn't work! I was sooo depressed, I thought that I would never have children.
I just finished my third month and I am two days late for my period and 16 dpo so,
I decided to take a pregnancy test for the hell of it. I knew that I would get a negative result-
I always did and I was sick of looking at it! But would'nt you know.....it was positive!!!
I almost fell off the toilet! I cried for about an hour! I could'nt believe it
so I went out and got another one and it was positive too!
I have an app. with my gyno in a few days to confirm 100% that I am pregnant.
Don't EVER give up hope ladies because,
if it can happen to me and my clutsy body,
then it can happen to you!
    God bless.

    Hi Momma Kath
I have just found out I am pregnant after the first round of Clomid at 50mg
I was so happy and surprised the information you have is really great...
My estimated due date is Jan 20, 2004. Wish me luck.
    Bye for now
    Karen

just wanted to say that i never had a normal menstral cycle
and i thought i would never get pregnant.
i went for years having sex and never getting pregnant.
i took clomid for just one cycle and boom - i was pregnant.
After my baby was born and after my 6 weeks checkup
I had sex with my husband without any birth control methods
because i still felt i wouldn't be able to conceive without fertility pills.
wrong- i was pregnant again. And 10 months later, i had another baby!!
so my one dose of clomid seemed to work for not just one baby,
but 2!!! best of luck to everyone- if it happened to my irregular system,
    it can happen to anyone!
    sharon from VA

    Hi there.
I was one of the 10%
    who conceived fraternal twins
    while taking Clomid.
    It was the 4th cycle
    (two cycles of 50mgs and
two cycles of 100mgs -generic brand).
In fact, the doctor estimated that they
were conceived three days apart. :)
    Good luck to everyone.
    Kristi

I was on Clomid (50) for 2 months,
and got pregnant the second month.
Luckily, my symptoms were only minor.
The period after month 1 was excrutiating,
and I was convinced it would never happen.
    The 1st month, I O'd on day 18.
Second month it was day 15,
and I was using pre-seed, by the way.
I never had great cervical mucus,
so I think the pre-seed helped!
I started having PMS symptoms (or so I thought),
so I got my hair dyed and drank regular coffee.
That night, I realized that my BB's were
    changing shape and were HUGE.
Next day (10 DPO), I took a test and had a faint positive!!!
    I took 5 in all,
    just to make sure.
    The blood test was positive,
but the HCG was low (40),
but it was only 12 DPO.
I'm at the beginning of week 6 and
    am constantly worried about complications,
    but so far so good!
    Thank God for clomid!!!!
    Lauren

I started clomid @50mg on days 5-9 on the first cycle,
and felt like a raving lunatic! No luck...
BUT on the second cycle of the same dose we got
    PREGNANT!!!
we are 9 weeks and counting our blessings.
We had tried for quite a while,
so I'm here to tell you girls, it works.
Thank heaven though because my husband was threatening
to move into a hotel if we had to undergo another cycle...
he joked that he'd come over to make his (donations)
and go back to his room...(SMILE).

I just finished 1st round of Clomid
I justfound out that I am nine weeks preggo
and went for my prenatal work up yesterday.
    Guess what?!
Doc couldn't find a heart beat so she palpated
to see if my uterus was measuring 9 weeks.
    It was measuring 10-12.
So, we rushed into the ultrasound room
to see if maybe I was not as far as the dates said.
    And low and behold,
the reason there was no heartbeat was beacuse
the babies are only 6 weeks!!!!!!!!!!
    Yes I said BABIES!!!!
    We are excited beyond words!!
    Thanks for everything.
    TWINS !!!
      Yes Momma Kath,
I was successful on my FIRST month of using Preseed and Clomid.
We had tried for 6 months previous and finally it happened.
I am due around th 24th of Jan. So I am about 10 weeks along. We were soooo excited.
Thanks for all your help!!!! I'm sure you don't remember
but I was the one on the trying to conceive board that went by "NO NAME",
because I didn't want anyone to know, before we told everyone a Father's Day.
I tested ++++ 3 day before AF which I was so surprised,
because with both of my boys I didn't test +
until the direct day after AF was due.
    Kinda wierd.
Good luck to you and thanks for listening!!:):)

My husband and I are ttc for one year.
I went to the doctor and she prescribed me clomid 50mg and
I got pregnant on the next month I took it.
I think it was also with the help of taking vitamins which is folic acid
    and evening oil primerose.
I took it together with the clomid and
keep taking it until I realized I was pregnant.
I was so happy now and I could'nt believe that I was pregnant.

After trying unsuccessfully for 6 months to get pregnant, I decided to trade
my GP for a (Sydney, Aust) IVF specialist who diagnosed me with PCOS after a
laparoscopy. He placed me on (1 tab) Clomid on days 6-10 with ultrasounds on
Day 21. We tried for a further 5 months, ensuring we had intercourse each
day (sometimes twice) from Day 13+. In November '96 (our 5th month) we had
intercourse 16 times, to no avail, then I decided to increase my medication
by a further tablet and did not notify my specialist. That month we had
intercourse **once** and became pregnant with triplets. After opting for
foetal-reduction, I now have a beautiful 6 yr old daughter and now find
ourselves in the same situation (needing Clomid for conception), though this
time, we'll be doing it by the book. It's a great drug if it works, but
should be done so by the book! By the way, I had no side effects but I did
use the Ovulation Predictor Kit (the month I fell pregnant!).
    Good luck!

I have been on my first cycle of clomid, and! It worked!
After trying to conceive for 3 years myself
and my husband decided to try clomid.
During intercourse I also put a pillow beneath my back
to keep sperm inside for atleast 20 minutes during the days
I ovulated and yeppee. I am 6 weeks pregnant, thanks to clomid.
The success stories on this web page helped me alot,
it gave me new hope and renewed faith.
For those who are still trying,
remember keep the faith and pray!
